Hi, I'm Rebecca. Welcome to Sophsdram Pet Services!

Based in Malpas, I provide professional, compassionate pet care across North Shropshire and surrounding villages. From countryside dog walks to pop-in visits and equine care, your animals are treated with the same love and attention I give my own.

The name Sophsdram is inspired by my daughter, Soph, and our family's pack of whisky-named dogs. What began as a personal mission to offer dependable, flexible pet services has grown into a trusted local brand – and now includes our very own shop in Whitchurch, stocked with natural treats, toys, and essentials for the pets you adore.

At Sophsdram, it’s all about trust, care, and plenty of happy tails.

We offer one-to-one grooming sessions in our quiet, relaxed in-store grooming room. These appointments are ideal for anxious or nervous dogs, elderly pets, puppies and dogs who struggle with busy salons. Each session is tailored to your dog’s needs and pace, with no waiting, no unfamiliar dogs and minimal staff noise.

What to expect

  • Pre-appointment consultation to discuss your dog’s history, preferences and any medical or behavioural needs.

  • A calm, low-stimulation environment with soft lighting, gentle music and non-slip grooming surfaces.

  • One groomer assigned to your dog for the duration of the appointment.

  • Flexible session length so your dog is never rushed.

  • Positive reinforcement techniques and gentle handling throughout.

  • Full range of grooming services available: baths, blow-dry, brushing, de-shedding, nail trims, ear cleaning and breed-specific or tailored trims.

  • Option to break the appointment into short sessions if needed.

  • Dogs that are anxious around other animals or in busy salons

  • Puppies needing gentle, positive early grooming experiences

  • Elderly or arthritic dogs requiring a slower pace

  • Dogs with special medical or behavioural needs

Booking and practical details

  • Appointments by booking only to ensure a quiet, uninterrupted experience.

  • Please bring proof of vaccinations and any relevant medical information.

  • Allow a little extra time for arrival and a calm handover.

  • Ask about home-scent items or familiar toys to help your dog settle.
