What breed of dog will you walk?

We are insured to walk all breeds including those included on the Dangerous Dogs Act. However you will need to be able to provide the legal paperwork required - here are the requirements from our insurance

What services do you offer?

At Sophsdram Pet Services we look to provide the service that you and your pet needs no matter how big or small. 

We can provide animal care (food &water) to chickens, hamsters, guinea pigs etc.

Away on holiday we will ensure that their bedding is clean.

Dog walking

Pet drop ins, including medication administration, comfort breaks and welfare (food&water)

Wedding Chaperone for your pet.

If it isn’t on the list please feel free to ask - if we can’t do it we know someone who can.

My bitch has come into season can you still walk her?

Yes, as I will only be walking one household at a time it is not a problem and I have access to places where the public will not be. However if you prefer that she isn’t walked I am happy to come and spend time with her at home, give her a comfort break and provide some mental stimulation. This can be discussed 48 hours before I am due to visit.

My plans have changed can I cancel?

If you provide at least 48 hours notice I am happy to rearrange your walk/visit at a time that fits yours and your dogs needs free of charge. Unfortunately if you provide less that 48 hours notice you will be charged for the service booked.

Can you use my lead to walk my dog?

I will walk your dog on your lead unless it is an extendable lead. Due to the risks associated with these leads and a significant injury sustained from using an extendable lead, unfortunately if you use one of these I will have to use one of my own leads - but we can discuss this at the initial introduction meeting.

Can I collect my products ordered rather than pay postage?

Yes - we are more than happy for you to collect your products. We will contact you when they are ready for collection however you must collect with 7 days of confirmation.

Do you use treats ?

This is on a dog by dog basis. When we have our initial introduction I will discuss with you any requirements such as not using treats/allergies etc. If you wish for treats not to be used I will 100% not use treats. However if you are happy for treats to be used they are the ones i use for my own pack and are available to purchase from us also.

It’s sunny will you still walk my dog?

I am a sun worshiper and absolutely love the sun and heat however our fluffy four legged best friends are at high risk of heat stroke and burnt paws.
If I have you booked in for a walk and the temperature’s are climbing I will discuss with you the best plan for you and your pet- that could be an earlier walk, or brain stimulation in the home or garden.
Remember that pavements on hot days can burn your dog’s footpads, so try to avoid them. If it’s too painful for you to place the back of your hand on a pavement for seven seconds then it’s too painful for your dog to walk on.
